Let me tell you
about my boat charter and our charming, unspoiled town which is 30 nautical
miles and one hour closer to the best fishing spots than Puerto Vallarta is.
About Our Paradise

Punta Mita, also known as Punta de Mita
or simply Mita is a charming, unspoiled Mexican fishing village located in the
pristine State of Nayarit 35 minutes northwest of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, on
the northwest point of Bahia de Banderas, the Bay of Flags. Punta Mita is
what Puerto Vallarta was like 40 years ago.

The local coast, banks, and islands are
full of sea life including big game fish Tuna, Marlin, Wahoo, Amberjack, sea
turtles, whales, sea lions, and dolphin. The best fishing and diving sites are
30 nautical miles closer to Punta Mita than to Puerto Vallarta. You typically
save one hour on the boat trip each way to these world-class destinations by
heading out from Punta Mita instead of Puerto
Vallarta.

Roca Corbetena is a
small island surrounded by the blue waters of the Pacific ocean 16 miles from
Punta Mita. This barnacle covered rock attracts all manner of sea life. Manta
rays, turtles, sharks, and dolphins are native to these waters, and marlin,
Wahoo, and huge schools of giant yellow fin tuna circle the tiny island in search of
food. This is a world-class fishing and dive site with caves, arches and steep
walls to explore.

El Banco also called
"Cleophus Bank" is an underwater mountain that attracts world class game
fish. El Banco is 25 miles offshore from Punta Mita.
The Marietas Islands, a wild
life sanctuary, is home to several endangered bird species such as the Blue
Footed Boobie, which can only be found on the Island, the Sea of Cortez and
the Galapagos Islands. Great diving through caves and tunnels, and visiting
"Lovers Beach" accessible only by a surface swim through an archway. These
islands are the result of ancient volcanic flows and offer opportunities for
cave diving.

El Morro is six miles West of
Marietas Islands and on the very edge of Banderas Bay lies El Morro, a series
of rock pinnacles extending above the surface of the blue waters of the
Pacific. This world-class dive site combines drop-offs, caves and arches with
a great diversity of marine life including mantas, large schooling fish,
turtles, and dolphins.
A wide range of
condominiums, homes, hotels and restaurants are within short walking distance
around the small town.
For Condominium and Home Rental options

The many beachside restaurants at Punta Mita offer
fresh seafood and refreshing drinks.
Nearby Puerto Vallarta offers other
activities including day-trip hikes to a hill-top ranch for a barbecue,
horseback riding, colonial tours, expeditions to visit the Sierra Madre
mountains, hot air ballooning, tours on an open jeep, flying tours and more.
Taxis are plentiful and busses run every 10 minutes allowing easy travel to and
from Puerto Vallarta where the airport is located. Bus trip between Puerto
Vallarta and Punta Mita is approximately 20 pesos, $2.00 US.
Punta Mita
offers you year-round warmth. The rainy season is May to October, but as with
most monsoon areas, rains tend to be heavy and brief in the late afternoon, leaving the evenings dry and
cooler. September brings the highest humidity and the heaviest rains.
